Funeral for Ruby Fischer, 69, of 516 N. Sixth, who died in Burlington Medical Center Thursday, Oct. 26, will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Lunning Chapel, Rev. Floyd Cripps; Trinity cemetery
She was born Aug. 19, 1909, at Yarmouth, the daughter of Bert and Minnie Broeker Fischer.
She was a nurse and supervisor at the former Burlington hospital for 44 years, and was a member of Spring Grove United Methodist church, secretary of the WSCS of the church, and was president of Jane A. Delano club.
Surviving: Brother, Glenn Fischer, Burlington, and five sisters, Elsie Miller, New London, and Eva Carman Alice Lavine, Jennie Mickelson and Nellie Jackson, all of Burlington.
A memorial to Burlington Medical Center has been established.
