DEATH OF MRS. ED IBBOTSON Olive, daughter of Louisa and Miranda Casey, was born near Sperry, August 16, 1876, and died at her home near Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, December 29, 1920, after a few days illness with appoplexy. Her death came as a great shock to her many friends, as many had not learned of her serious illness. On Monday evening she went to the chicken house to do her work there while her husband was attending to his chores at the barn.She finished her work and went to the house and soon her daughter went to call her father, saying her mother had sent her to tell him she had such a pain in her head. When he reached the house she was sitting in a chair and was unconscious. Medical help was summoned at once, but she never regained consciousness, and passed away before noon on Wednesday. Deceased is the last of her immediate family to go to the Great Beyond, her father, her mother, and sister Lillian having gone before.
Olive Casey was united in marriage with Edward Ibbotson March 21, 1900. Four children were born to this union, two dying in infancy and a son and daughter, Dale and Lillian, who with the father are left to mourn her death. Mrs. Ibbotson was a loving and devoted mother and consecrated wife and never happier than with ministering to the wants of her loved ones. ever happy in disposition, her friends were many and the number enlarged constantly with acquaintance. Mrs. Ibbotson consecrated her life to her Heavenly Father some fifteen years ago, when she united with the Baptist church and later transferred her membership to the Presbyterian church. At the time of her death she was a member of the First Presbyterian church in Mt. Pleasant.

The funeral services were held at the home near Mt. Pleasant at 11 o'clock on Friday afternoon, conducted by her pastor, Rev. McFarran, with the interment in the beautiful cemetery at Kossuth.
