Mediappolis (IA) -- Nellie Dean, 92, Mediapolis care center, died there Saturday, March 8.

She was born August 28, 1887, in Des Moines county to Gustave and Mary Laubscher Hohmbraker. She married Willard Dean February 13, 1914, in Burlington.

Surviving: a son, Russell, Falls Church, Virginia; a daughter, Mrs. Delbert Pilling, Wapello; one grandson and two great-grandsons.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Fry Chapel, Mediapolis, the Reverend Clarence Burns; Kossuth cemetery.
