Mediapolis (IA) -- Mrs. Alma Hohmbraker, 92, Mediapolis, died Wednesday, September 4, at the Mediapolis Residential Care Facility.

She was born May 14, 1893, in Des Moines County, to Henry and Martha Smith Young. She married William Hohmbraker on November 19, 1919, in Des Moines County; he died February 22, 1973. She was a housewife, a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the LCW of the church, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving: A son, Warren, Sperry Route 1; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Reverend Carl Beyerhelm; Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington. A memorial has been established at Fry Chapel, Mediapolis.
