Mediapolis (IA) -- William Hohmbraker, 91, Mediapolis, died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 22, at Burlington Memorial hospital.

He was born November 28, 1881, in Benton township, the son of Gustave and Mary Laubscher Hohmbraker. He married Alma Young November 19, 1919, in Des Moines county. A retired farmer, he was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church, Mediapolis.

Surviving: The wife; a son, Warren, Sperry; two brothers, Frank and Harry, Mediapolis; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Dean, Mediapolis; two grandchildren.

Funeral: Saturday, 3:30 p.m., Immanuel Lutheran church, Mediapolis, Reverend John Meyer; Aspen Grove cemetery, Burlington. Body is at Fry Chapel, Mediapolis. A memorial fund has been established.
