Mrs. Walter Jarvis
Mt. Pleasant – Mrs. Sarah Jane [Sowden] Jarvis died at the home of her son, in Minneapolis, Minn., Monday [June 23, 1947] night.

She had been ill for many months, following hip fractures. Mrs. Jarvis was the widow of Walter Jarvis, who died in 1942. They once lived at the top of the hill north of Oakland Mills, and later moved into Mt. Pleasant.

Services will be held at one o’clock Thursday afternoon, June 26, at the Crane funeral home. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery, Burlington. (Burlington Hawk Eye Gazette, Burlington, IA, June 25, 1947)
