Marie Katherine Meyer, 90, of Burlington, died at 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at her home.

Born March 14, 1913, in Burlington, she was the daughter of John F. Henry and Clara Marie Saftig Behne. On July 2, 1932, she married Charles Harold Meyer in Rock Island, Illinois. He died on March 14, 1940.

Mrs. Meyer retired from Chittenden and Eastman Co. in 1975 as a seamstress and pattern maker.

She was a member of SS John and Paul Catholic Church and the Legion of Mary.

Survivors include one son, Charles H. Meyer of Grand Saline, Texas; three daughters, Patricia Coakley and Sister Nadine Meyer, both of Burlington, and Anita Lewis of Pottsboro, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister and one infant daughter.
