Deloris A. Crees, 67, of Burlington, died at 5:05 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.

Born Feb. 19, 1934, in Danville, she was the daughter of Leslie and Florence Whaley Swailes. She married Sanferd Thye in 1951. On July 25, 1992, she married Wyatt Crees in Burlington.
Mrs. Crees worked at Van's Lunchbox, TRW/IRC, Burlington Medical Center and most recently at Home Caring Services.
She was a member of the Church of the Open Bible, a volunteer at Klein's Center and was honorary president of Steamboat Senior Center. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, cooking, cats, gardening and helping others.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Cheri Krug of Maquoketa and Connie Stewart of Burlington; one son, Timothy Thye of Sperry; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Darlene Hanson and Luella Moore, both of New London; and one brother, Elvin "Frog" Swailes.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be begin after 8 a.m. Tuesday at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The funeral for Mrs. Crees will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lunning Chapel, with Pastor William Hornback officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established.
