H.W. HERMANN, 51, died March 7 in Veterans hospital in Tucson, Arizona, according to a message received by his sister, Mrs. F. B. Kienlen, West Burlington.
A native of Burlington (Ia.), Hermann was born May 3, 1898, the son of Fred J. and Minnie Sandvos Hermann. He was educated in Burlington, but left the city when he enter the service during World War I.
In addition to his sister, Hermann leaves his widow and a daughter and three grandchildren, all in Washington D.C., and another daughter and 3 grandchildren in Colorado. Also surviving are 2 brothers, Fred Hermann of New York City and Ed Hermann of Burlington.
Last rites were held Wednesday at Tucson.
