Oakville (IA) -- Rex LeRoy Reiman, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Reiman, died Monday (June 19, 1950) at 6 p.m. at Mercy hospital where he had been a patient for 3 weeks. He had been failing in health for 9 months.
He was born at Elrick, September 14, 1919, and attended the Oakville school. A veteran of World War II, he served 2 years on Guadalcanal and in the Philippines.
He married Doris Hartman of Morning Sun, April 21, 1946. Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Linda Lee, a son, Wendell LeRoy, 7 months, his parents, 2 brothers, Stanley and Kenneth, and a sister, Josephine.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Christian Apostolic church with Reverend Noah Schrock officiating. Burial will be in the Christian Apostolic cemetery.
