WAPELLO, Iowa--- Doris Ann Strawhacker, 85, of Wapello, formerly of Oakville, died on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at the Wapello Nursing amp; Rehab Center. Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 17, 2011, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. The Rev. Dan Doolin will officiate. Burial will take place in Edwards Cemetery at Oakville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 16, 2011, at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established for the benefit of the Great River Hospice and the Edwards Cemetery Road Fund. Doris was born on December 18, 1925, in Mediapolis, the daughter of Cecil A. and Laura Irene Gregory Hartman. She married Rex Reiman in 1946 at Oakville. He preceded her in death. She married Donald Strawhacker in 1951 in Oakville. They later divorced. She attended school in Mediapolis and graduated from the Mount Union High School. She had worked at Sylvania, the Ordanance Plant, and Midwest Biscuit all in the Burlington area and later worked for Clara Wykert in the Oakville Restaurant. She loved to dance and enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She was of the methodist faith. She is survived by two sons, Craig Strawhacker and wife, Carol, of West Burlington and Wendell Reiman of Burlington; a daughter, Brenda Strawhacker of Citrus Springs, Florida; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bill Hartman of Washington. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Rex and Donald; a daughter, Linda Wiley; a sister, Janaan; and three brothers, Leo, Jim, and Clarence "Shorty".
