Last Rites Held for the Late Mrs. Elizabeth Reed.

The funeral services of Mrs. Elizabeth Reed, who died at the home of a sister in Santa Ana, California, last week, were held at the Sharon Reformed Presbyterian church Tuesday afternoon of this week.

The body arrived from California on Monday. Reverend M. W. Dougherty conducted the service and the interment was at Sharon cemetery. A brief service was held at the J. P. Baird home before the church service.

Elizabeth Baird, daughter of John and Catherine McElhinney Baird, was born near Morning Sun, Iowa, July 28th, 1857, and passed away in Santa Ana, California, May 10th, 1933, at the age of 75 years, 9 months and 13 days.

She was united in marriage to Robert G. Reed on February 22, 1882, he passing away nearly four years ago.

Twin daughters were born to this union, one passing away in infancy.

She lived in the Sharon neighborhood most of her life, moving with her husband to Santa Ana about five years ago. She united with the Reformed Presbyterian church when a girl, and continued her membership there until nearly a year ago, when she transferred her membership to the R. P. church in Santa Ana, California.

She leaves to mourn her loss one daughter, Mrs. Fred Miller of Santa Ana; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Walkinshaw of Santa Ana, Mrs. Rose Carithers of Morning Sun, and Mrs. Laura Myers of Mediapolis, and two brothers, R. M. Baird and J. P. Baird of Morning Sun; also a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
