Linda Jane Hale, 70, of West Burlington, Iowa, died at her residence on Saturday, October 4, 2014.

Born on October 19, 1943 in Lake Mills, Iowa, she was the daughter of Henry and Marjorie Garrettson Hale. She married George Kozacik on April 19, 1992 in Burlington, Iowa.

Linda graduated from Lindenwood College, St. Charles, Missouri and earned a Masters from Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois. She was an educator and assisted in organizing the music program at Hospice House. She was a member and organist for many years at First Presbyterian Church in Burlington.

She is survived by her husband, George Kozacik; one son, Kevin McCarty of Des Moines, Iowa; two Daughters, Samantha (Nathan) McCarty Hahn of St. Louis, Missouri and Julie (John) Preussner of Dundee, Iowa; six grandchildren, Elllie, Luke & Will Preussner and Carly, Renee & Glenn Graber; one step-daughter, Laura Kathleen Graber Kozacik of Hilo, Hawaii; one step son, Keith (Penny Cahill) Kozacik of Washington, Iowa; one sister, Virginia Johnson of Onowa, Iowa; one brother, Dale (Nona) Hale of Santa Monica, California; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The memorial service for Linda Hale will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 2:00: p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Burlington, Iowa. Pastor Vickie Engleman and Pastor Deb Kinney will officiate. Interment of ashes will be at a later date.
