On January 20, 1898, she was united in marriage to Joseph W. Baird. To this union there were born nine children: Howard, of Bloomington, Indiana; Mrs. Earl (Harriett) Pogemiller of Burlington; Cecil of Omaha; Bruce, of Sperry; Orville, of Griffith, Indiana; Robert, Rodman and Paul, all of Morning Sun.

One son and her husband are dead. Other survivors include a twin sister, Mrs. Ina Samson, Washington, Iowa, twenty-seven grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
