Sarah W. McCoy, 82, of the Fort Madison Nursing Care Center, died at 2:53 a.m. Monday, October 12, 1987, at the Fort Madison Community Hospital.

Born October 23, 1904, at Morning Sun, she was the daughter of Henry William and Anna Marie Louise Pogemiller Wiele. She married J. Hillis McCoy November 21, 1942, at Fort Madison.

She had lived for over 60 years in Fort Madison. She had worked in the stenographic department of the W. A. Sheaffer Pen Company, retiring after 37 years of service. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Mediapolis. Surviving are one niece and one nephew.

Friends may call any time after noon Tuesday until time of service at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison.

The service for Mrs. McCoy will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Barr Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Charles Kamilos officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington.

Memorials have been established for the First United Presbyterian Church and the Iowa Heart Association. Contributions may be left at the Barr Memorial Chapel.
