Mrs. Lucy W. Sharar, 74, of 1805 South 10th, died in Mediapolis Care Center at 2 a.m. Friday, February 19.

She was born September 30, 1907, in Washington Township to Henry W. and Anna Louise Pogemiller Wiele.

She graduated from Mediapolis High School in 1925 and was a salesperson at Paule Jewelry Company for many years, retiring in 1973. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church.

Surviving: Two sisters, Sarah McCoy, Ft. Madison, and Clara Wootten, Burlington.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday, Prugh's Chapel, the Reverend Aaron Koskamp; Kossuth Cemetery. Memorials have been established for the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Foundation and the Memorial Fund of First United Presbyterian Church.
