MRS. MAE JARVIS DEAD AT 77

Mrs. Mae Jarvis, 77, long-time resident of Morning Sun, died Monday (August 20, 1962) in Mercy hospital in Burlington. She had been in failing health for several years but was hospitalized only a short time before her death.

She was the daughter of James F. and Rozella Walker Scott and was born at Mediapolis on September 14, 1884.

On June 12, 1911 she was married to Frank Jarvis at Kingston, Iowa. They established their home in Morning Sun.

Mrs. Jarvis was preceded in death by one son, Paul, and by her husband. She is survived by one son, Earl, Wilton Junction, one brother, Roy F. Scott of Mediapolis, and one sister, Mrs. Minnie S. Lee, Morning Sun.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church of Wapello and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, the W. R. C., and the Royal Neighbors.

Funeral services conducted by the Reverend Edward Sheppard are being held this (Thursday) morning at St. Mary's church at 10 o'clock, CST. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery in Morning Sun.
