Andy "Dan" Bied, 72, of West Burlington, died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 1998, at University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Born November 21, 1925, in Burlington, he was the son of George C. and Lynda Danielson Bied. On September 11, 1973, he married Mildred C. "Millie" Stodgell in Reno, Nevada.

Mr. Bied worked in his father's drug store prior to World War II. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as a rifleman in 106th Infantry Division.
