Mrs. Leatha L. Fouts, 72, of 1204 North Eighth, died in Klein Memorial hospital at 4:30 p.m. Monday, February 2. She had been ill for three years.

She was a native of Kansas and was born November 26, 1897, the daughter of John and Nellie Donnelly Burroughs.

She was married to Charles Edward Fouts in Burlington on May 10, 1916; he died in 1950.

Mrs. Fouts was a member of Bethany Lutheran church and of the VFW auxiliary and the Widows of World War I.

Surviving: Two sons, Mark and Eugene Fouts, both of Burlington; daughter, Mrs. Delores Pepmeyer, Burlington; brother, Earl Burroughs of Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Ryder and Mrs. Helen Wasson, both of Burlington; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Services: Thursday at Prugh's Chapel at 2 p.m., the Reverend Walter E. Lack, Memorial Park cemetery.
