Russell K. Fouts, 55, of 1903 12th Street, died in Burlington Memorial hospital at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, February 14. Death was due an apparent heart attack. Mr. Fouts was an instrument technician in the engineering department of the IAAP for 25 years.

He was a native of Burlington and was born May 10, 1915, the son of Elmer E. and Ivy Fouts. He was a member of [the] First Christian church and of the Operating Engineers Union and the Moose and Eagles lodges.

Mr. Fouts was married to Ann L. Johnson at Rock Island, Illinois, on October 5, 1935.

Surviving: The wife; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Hand of West Burlington and Mrs. Sharon Caldwell of Burlington; two grandsons; one brother, Carl (sic) Fouts of Burlington; and two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Crooks of Galesburg, Illinois, and Mrs. Marguerite Wells of Burlington.

Funeral: Prugh's Chapel at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Reverend John Vickers; Aspen Grove cemetery.
