John Frantz, a well known and venerable carriage worker, of the firm of Bennett & Frantz, Burlington, suddenly dropped dead while eating a meal with his family. He has not been in good health for years and also feared death from heart disease. He was born in Pennsylvania 70 years ago and learned the trade of carriage maker. He came to Burlington in 1864 and established the factory which still exists in Burlington and which has a reputation for fine carriage work, not surpassed in the country. He was widely known, having almost constantly traveled all over the country in the interest of the firm.
