Services for 77 year old Elder M. Mattson of 1303 Harrison Ave., who died Tuesday in Mercy hospital, will be at Giles Chapel at 1:30 Friday, the Rev. Dave Higdon officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.

Mr. Mattson was born Aug. 26, 1890, at Chariton, the son of Peter and Sophia Martin Mattson. Prior to retirement, Mr. Mattson had been a member of the Carpenters Union for 30 years. He was married in Burlington on Sept. 9, 1910. His wife, Mrs. Flossie Mattson, died April 8, 1960.

Surviving: Sons Leonard Mattson, Bakersfield, Calif.; Richard Mattson, Los Angeles, and Oscar, Rudy and Edgar Mattson, all of Burlington; daughter Mrs. Darlene Dehner, Burlington; brother Joseph Mattson, Burlington; sisters Mrs. Agnes Knotts and Mrs. Jeannette Schelin, both of Burlington; 20 grandchildren. A son died previously.
