Catina Renea Frantz, 40, died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at her home in Burlington, Iowa. She was born October 2, 1973 in Missouri the daughter of Michael and Johnetta Lavonne Hodges Hume. On January 16, 2004 she married Shaun Nicholas Frantz in Olathe, Kansas.

Catina was a former Correctional Officer at ISP. She loved music, her boys, dreaming of travel and trips with her family. She enjoyed reading, driving motorcycles, movies and could sit still and read all day if time permitted. She was of the Protestant Faith.

Survivors include her husband, Shaun Frantz of Burlington, Three sons, Hunter Hume of Edgerton, Kansas and Brendan and Trevor Frantz at home. Her parents Michael and Johnetta Hume of Edgerton, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her grandmother.

Funeral Services will be held in Prugh’s Chapel Wednesday, July 23, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. Pastor Bill Willis will officiate. Interment will be at a later date.

Friends may call at Prugh’s after 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

A memorial has been established for her children’s education.
