Frances Marie Lemon, 71, of 1811 S. Central Ave., Burlington, died at 6:00 a.m., Saturday, March 11, 1995, at her home.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Barrie Tritle and the Rev. Robert Dodder officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in Prugh's Chapel. A memorial has been established for the First United Methodist Church.

Frances Marie Bachman was born October 1, 1923 in Clarence, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur William and Irma Mae (Severin) Bachman. She married Ferrell Ray Lemon on October 4, 1942 in Clarence. He died September 9, 1986. She had worked at the Des Moines County court house and then with Smith Engineering as a draftsperson until her retirement.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Treble Clef Club, King's Daughters, First United Methodist Board of Trustees, First United Methodist Memorial Committee, and Chairman of the Craft Committee. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Bell Choir and she bowled on Wednesdays on the Senior Citizens League.

Survivors include one daughter, Ann Butts of Burlington; one step-son, Richard Lemon of Boston, MA; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Harmsen of Tipton and Alberta Decker of Burlington; and one brother, Edward Bachman of Walcott.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one step-son and one brother.
