Frank A. Lemon, 82, of Burlington, died at 3:45 a.m., Sunday, April 18, 1999, at the Klein Unit of Burlington Medical Center, Burlington, Iowa.

His body has been cremated and there will be no visitation. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday in Prugh Chapel with Rev. Frank Beaty officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington. A memorial has been established for Steamboat Senior Citizens Center, National Parkinson Foundation and the Des Moines County Historical Society.

Frank Adelbert Lemon was born December 15, 1916, in Winfield, Iowa, the son of William R. and Lillie Rose (Reynolds) Lemon. He married Linnea Marie Sheagren on June 24, 1939 in Winfield. He worked in sales for Firestone, Sears and Western Auto. He operated V & S Hardware Store, later known as True Value Hardware Store. He was of the Protestant faith. He was active in Boy Scouts of America and class of 1935 reunions. He volunteered at Apple Trees Museum and Phelps House for the Des Moines County Historical Society. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

Survivors include his wife, Linnea; one daughter, Nancy Siperly of Sarasota, FL; four sons, Philip Lemon of Sarasota, FL, David Lemon of Eden Prairie, MN, Robert Lemon of Burlington and Steven Lemon of Hazel Green, WI; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
