EDWARD A. HERMANN

Edward A. Hermann, 89, of 829 Harrison avenue, died in St. Francis Continuation Care Center Monday January 23.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Hermann and was born Feb. 10, 1883, at Ft. Madison. He married Margaret Eggleston on June 2, 1913.
Mr. Hermann was a retired employee of the former Hertzler Shoe Co. He served for 15 years as president of the old Burlington Community Picnic Assoc.
Mr. Hermann was a member of First Christian church.
Surviving: The wife; a son and daughter in Burlington, Richard E. Hermann and Mrs. Albert C. Smith;five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Sheagrens funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Revs. John Vickers and Carl Kine officiating.
