MARGARET SMITH

Margaret "Peg" Smith, 78, of 1102 S. 12th St., died Monday Feb. 15, 1993, at her home.
Born March 22, 1914, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Edward and Margaret Eggleston Hermann. She married Albert Smith on Aug. 9, 1937, in Burlington.
She was an assistant librarian at the Burlington Public Library before retiring. She was a member of the Eleanor Copeland Circle and the Golden Rule Circle of the King's Daughter, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Carthage Lake Club, the Legion of Mary and St. John's Catholic Church. She was an avid bridge player.
Survivors include her husband; a son, George "Bob" Smith of Burlington; a daughter, Nancy Fleming, of Arvada, Colo., and five grandchildren.
A Christian wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Sheagren Funeral Home.
