Mrs. Zora Mattie Walker, 72, route 2, Burlington, died in Burlington hospital Wednesday at 7:40 a.m. after a brief illness.

She was born December 9, 1882, in Des Moines county, the daughter of John and Lydia Van Osdol. On December 9, 1908, she was married to Neal Walker in Des Moines county.

She was a member of the First Methodist church.

Surviving are three sons, Earl, Paul, and Ray Walker, all of Des Moines county; also one sister, Mrs. Nora Walker, Fairfield; also eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Her husband, one son, her parents, and one brother are dead.

Services will be held in Prugh's chapel Friday at 2 p.m. The Reverend John Poole will officiate. Burial will be in the Walker cemetery.
