Eliza May Talbert 1874 - 1934

Mrs. James Talbert, 60, of Danville, Iowa, mother of Mrs. Wran Van Osdol of Burlington, died Saturday night at the home of her nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bort, in Toulon, Illinois, while visiting in the community where she formerly resided. Death was due to a heart ailment, and came suddenly, although she has been in failing health for several months.

Eliza M. Shaw was born in Illinois, May 11, 1874, the daughter of William and Anna Shaw. Her early life was spent in the vicinity of Lawn Ridge, Peoria county, Illinois, where she was married in 1891 to James Talbert, who survives her. In 1901 the family moved to Stark county, Illinois where they lived 15 years, seven of which were spent near West Jersey and the rest near Wyoming, Illinois. They then moved to Iowa and resided near Danville, from then on Mrs. Albert was a member of the Danville M. E. church.

In addition to her daughter her and her husband, Mrs. Talbert is survived by two sons, Everett Albert Talbert of Sparland, Illinois, and Harley Edwin Talbert of Danville, Iowa, One son, Ernest Edward Talbert, preceded her in death and twin daughters, Stella and Krella, died in infancy.

Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church in Toulon, Illinois, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock with burial In Blue Ridge cemetery near Wyoming,Illinois.
