Mrs. Bessie A. Van Osdol, 74, of 1022 S. Seventh, died Thursday, August 23, at Burlington Medical Center. Born April 2, 1905 near Wyoming, Illinois., she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Talbert. She married Wran Van Osdol September 2, 1925 at Danville. She was a member of Grace United Methodist church, Fidelis class, WSCS and the Martha Cowles circle of King's Daughters.

Surviving: Husband; two sons, Forrest and Dean Van Osdol, both of Burlington; daughter, Mrs. Juanita Cloyed, Kearney, Nebraska; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren.

Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Monday, Grace United Methodist church, Reverend Laurence Garrett; Memorial Park cemetery. A memorial to the church has been established at Sheagren funeral home.
