Mrs. Minnie E. Bridges, 96, Mediapolis, died at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, at Memorial hospital Eastman unit, Burlington.
She was born January 8, 1875, in a log cabin in Benton township, the daughter of Henry Martin and Mariah Jane Van Osdol Walker. On March 2, 1898, she was married in Mediapolis to Grant Bridges.
She was an 82-year member of the United Methodist church, an honorary member of a WSCS circle and a Gold Star Mother of the American Legion auxiliary.
Surviving: One daughter, Mary Bridges, Mediapolis; and a brother, Hugh Walker, Quincy, Illinois.
Funeral: Friday 2 p.m., Fry Chapel, Reverend Raymond D. Moore; Kossuth cemetery.
