Lynn Bonewitz Saar, 84, of Burlington, died at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2003 at her home

Born May 30, 1919, in Greenfield, Mo., she was the daughter of William Noble and Mary Alice Cochran Holman. On Oct. 31, 1937 she married Edward L. Bonewitz in Leavenworth, Kan. He died, Jan. 5, 1987. On Sept. 11, 1996, she married Jesse Lee Saar Jr. in New Brunswick, Canada. He died Jan. 1, 1999.

Mrs. Saar was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and numerous other local charitable organizations. She was a member of Burlington Golf Club, New Crystal Lake and Carthage Lake Club.

Survivors include two sons, Eric Holman Bonewitz of Overland Park, Kan., and James Christopher Bonewitz of West Tawakoni, Texas; one daughter, Judith Lynn Choice of Kansas City, Mo.; one foster son, William Duker Zachmeyer of Atlanta; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

There will be no visitation.

The funeral for Mrs. Saar will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Canon Patrick Genereux officiating. Private family burial in Aspen Grove Cemetery will be at a later date.

A memorial has been established for Christ Episcopal Church Outreach Foundation.
