Frances C. "Fran" Arledge, 85, of Burlington, died at 10:15 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2003, at Bickford Cottage, Burlington.

Born Sept. 7, 1917, in Bagley, Iowa, she was the daughter of Albert and Etta A. Vaux Moorman. On May 6, 1939, she married Arnold G. Arledge in Burlington. He died March 9, 1999.

Mrs. Arledge was a homemaker. She was a member of Questers and Burlington Women's Club.

Survivors include one daughter, Judy Jacobs of Burlington; two sons, John Arledge of Burlington and James Arledge of Granbury, Texas; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was precedced in death by one daughter, her parents and two brothers.

Visitation will be between 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Monday.

The funeral for Mrs. Arledge will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Methodist Church with the Rev. Trevor Davis officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemtery.

A memorial has been established for the YM-YWCA Youth Scholarship Fund.
