Carol Lee Lewis, 52, of Burlington, died at 1:40 a.m. Sunday May 18, 2003 at Burlington Care Center.

Born July 29, 1950 in McCall, S.C., she was the daughter of Oscar and Anjorie Turner Koffsky.

Ms. Lewis taught at Apollo Middle School and worked as a certified nurse aide at St. Francis Care Center. She earned a degree in English from the University of North Carolina. She was a member of the New Fellowship Christian Church. She enjoyed working in her church.
Survivors include one daughter, Rebekkah Russell of Burlington; one son, J.P. Mosena of Burlington, seven grandchildren, and her extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held Tuesday at Prugh Funeral Service, where the family will receive friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m.

The funeral for Ms. Lewis will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the New Fellowship Christian Church with the Rev. Shane McCampbell officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
