William Michael "Bill" Daly Visitation: Wednesday, January 5, 2005 3:30 PM until 6:00 PM Prugh's Chapel 317 N. 4th St. Burlington, Ia 52601 Service: Thursday, January 6, 2005 10:30 AM St. Paul's Catholic Church 508 N. 4th St. Burlington, Ia 52601 VIEW/SEND CONDOLENCES SEND FLOWERS William Michael "Bill" Daly, 90, of Burlington, died at 3:09 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2004 at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born May 10, 1914, in Burlington, he was the son of Michael William Daly and Rose Cecelia Roesch. On February 14, 1938, he married Eva Helen Crnic in Kirksville, Missouri. She died on April 18, 1986. On May 30, 1987, he married Ann Daubresse. She died June 2, 1996. Mr. Daly worked as a Tool and Die Maker for 30 years, at Burlington Instrument Co, Sheaffer Pen Corp. and Gale Products Galesburg, Illinois. He graduated from Burlington High School and attended Sts. John and Paul Catholic Church. He was member of Knights of Columbus. Survivors include three sons, Chuck Daly of West Burlington, Patrick Daly of Martinez, Georgia, and Bernard Daly of Iowa City; three daughters, Betty Bhols of Phoenix, Rosie Strebin of Danville, Illinois, and Teresa Panko of Woodridge, Illinois; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Cahill and Martha Elmore, both of Burlington, and Elizabeth "Betty" Bohls of Sun City West, Arizona; two brothers, John J. Daly and Thomas Edward Daly, both of Burlington; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his wives, he was preceded in death by one son, Michael J. Daly, Sr.; two grandsons, Jason T. Daly and Robert R. Gonyo; and one sister, Catherine Dochterman. Visitation will be from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh's Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. The funeral for Mr. Daly will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Patrick Hilgendorf officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Notre Dame Foundation.
