Joseph Patrick Daly, 72, of Carman, IL died at 5:40 PM Saturday, October 26, 2013, at his home.
Born January 31, 1941, in Burlington, he was the son of Hugh and Pauline Kassmeyer Daly. On December 24, 1981, he married Linda Rainwater in Carman, IL.
Joe worked for General Electric for 32 years, retiring in 1998.
He was a graduate of Burlington Notre Dame High School. He later attended Burlington Junior College.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
In his younger years, he attended catholic church but most recently was a member of First Assembly of God in Burlington. He enjoyed working outside, making Native American artifacts for Rainwater's Loving Touch, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Steve Daly. *
