Funeral services for the late Mrs. Vincent Bridges were held at the Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. F. S. Apfel, with burial in the Kossuth cemetery. She passed away at her home here Friday evening at the age of 83 years.

Jennie Hobbs was born in Sheinmung, N.Y., February 16, 1847. When quite young she moved with her parents to Will county, Illinois, near Joliet.

In 1864 she was united in marriage to Stephen L. Patterson. To this union was born three sons, two of whom, Frank Wayne and Charles Myron, are now deceased.

Mr. and Mrs. Patterson moved to Mediapolis, Ia., in September 1880, where a few months later Mr. Patterson passed way, April 2, 1881.

On November 30, 1882, Mrs. Patterson was united in marriage with Vincent Bridges, who passed away a few years ago.

Mrs. Bridges is survived by one son, William S. Patterson, of Los Angeles, Calif.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also three step-children: Edmund Bridges of Winfield, Ia.; Arthur D. Bridges of Winfield, Kans., and Martha E. Bridges in the home.

She was a member of the Woman's Foreign and Woman's Home Missionary societies and of the W.C.T.U. She manifested a deep interest in the Woman's Foreign Missionary society and the W.C.T.U., being a charter member and also a life member of each of these societies.
