Marian K. Oetken, of Burlington, died at 9:50 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, at Blair House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Burlington.

Born in Keokuk, she was the daughter of Henry Herman and Nellie Hurley Kampe. On July 1, 1957, she married the late Frank S. Oetken.

Mrs. Oetken worked as an executive secretary at Leopold Co. in Burlington. She was a graduate of Keokuk Senior High School and attended Burlington Business College. She was a member of SS. John and Paul Catholic Church. She had a deep abiding faith.

Survivors include two nieces, Bonnie Gibson and Jackie Flockhart, both of Keokuk; two nephews, Jim Flockhart of Keokuk and Bill Calhoun of Montrose.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and five sisters.

No visitation is planned.

The graveside funeral for Mrs. Oetken will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Sacred Heart Cemetery with the Rev. Father Patrick J. Hilgendorf officiating.

A memorial has been established for SS. John and Paul Catholic Church.

Hass-Thielen Funeral Home in Burlington is in charge of arrangements.
