Harley F. Laue

Mr. Harley F. Laue, Route 2, Box 323, died at 9 a.m. Saturday Aug. 13, 1988, at Burlington Medical Center. He was 73.

Mr. Laue was born Aug. 22, 1914, in Tama Township to Edward and Minnie Schuler Laue. He married Rosie L. Laue on Feb. 27, 1939, in Burlington. She died Oct. 27, 1987.

A retired farmer, Mr. Laue was a member of the Farm Bureau, the South East Iowa Antique Auto Club and a past member of the Dry Branch Elementary School Board. He was also a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church.

He is survived by a son, Ronald E. Laue of rural Burlington; two daughters, Mrs. Jean E. Stewart of Burlington and Mrs. Carol R. Harrington of Bettendorf; three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Keitzer of rural Burlington. Mrs. Leila Tiemann of rural Burlington and Mrs. Anita Cote of Ventura, Calif; a brother, Mr. Maynard Laue of Eldridge, Mo.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services for Mr. Laue are pending at Prugh’s Chapel. Burial will be in North Walker Cemetery.
