Sylvester T. Kelly, 73, native of Burlington, died Saturday at Hines General hospital, Chicago, where he had been a patient for several weeks.

He was born in Burlington, and moved about 30 years ago to Chicago. He was a member of the Catholic church and of the Knights of Columbus. A veteran of the Spanish-American War he served in the 6th Iowa battery.
Surviving are his widow, one son, John Kelly, Chicago, one daughter, Helen Duffy, Chicago and one grandson, Robert Duffy, USN, stationed in Japan; also two sisters, Mrs. George Hawkins and Mrs. Celia Lange, both of Chicago, and two brothers, Mark Kelly, Chicago and William Kelly of Burlington.
Mark Kelly was in Burlington when news was received of the death of his brother, and with William Kelly and his daughter, Betty, attended the funeral services held in Chicago Tuesday. Burial was in Chicago.
