Swan A. (Sam) Edmark, 75, of 2901 Kirkwood, died in Burlington Medical Center at 4:50 p.m. Saturday, September 19 .

He was born June 10, 1906, to Ernest and Ellen Carson Edmark in Burlington, where he married Ruth Senn Krekel November 10, 1946.

He was a World War II Navy veteran, a retired furniture repairman and a member of the VFW and Eagles Lodge.

Surviving: his wife; stepson William Krekel, brother Leland and sister Ebba Hinkson, all of Burlington; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Prugh's Chapel, the Reverend Alvin Jenkins; Memorial Park Cemetery.
