Ruth E. Krekel Edmark, 90, of Burlington, Died at 10:50 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2002,
Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born July 1, 1911, in Burlington, she was the daughter of John Sr. and Catherine Boeckel Senn. On July 28, 1933, she married Kenneth Krekel. On Nov. 8,1946, she married Swan A. Edmark. He died Sept. 19,1981.
Mrs. Edmark worked for White House Dairy, Iowa Soap Co. and was an inspector for Ross
Manufacturing. She retired in 1978.
She was of the Lutheran faith. She enjoyed reading, playing cards and bingo.
Survivors include one son, William F. Krekel of Burlington; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ethel Helms of Burlington and Esther Schroder and Virginia Lutenegger, both of New London; one sister-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Lunning Chapel. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
The funeral for Mrs. Edmark will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lunning Chapel, with the Rev.
Janice Larson officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Cemetery,
A memorial has been established for Trinity Lutheran Church.
