Eugene l. Watton, 69, husband of Anna Watton who played the piano at a local theater for several years , died Tuesday at Burlington from heat disease.
He was born in Lowell, Ia., and also formerly lived in Martinsburg and Keokuk in this state. Mr. Watton was a salesman, but had conducted business in Martinsburg and Keokuk, later being employed by Klien Manufacturing co., He was a member of the Masonic lodge.
Surviving are his widow, one daughter, Gladys Watton; three brothers H. R. Watton of Burlington, C. D. Watton of Lowell and l. T. Watton of Martinsburg, and two sisters, Mr. E. A. Stephenson and Mrs. Alpha Thornburg, both of Lowell.
Funeral services will be at the Unterkircher funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday and at Lowell at 2:30 p.m.
