Undated Burlington, IA newspaper – Pleasant Grove, IA - Last rites for Frank Drinkall who suffered a fatal heart attack at his farm home southwest of Pleasant Grove Saturday, October 11, were held at Shinar Cumberland Presbyterian church at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Donald Sweet officiated and burial was in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Drinkall was 79 years old and was a life resident of Des Moines county. He was the son of William and Elizabeth (Hutchcroft) Drinkall, and was born January 7, 1879, on a farm east of Yarmouth. On November 8, 1905, he was married to Mary Alice Hale at Pleasant Grove.

Drinkall was an elder of Shinar church. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons: The Rev. Lowell M. Drinkall, Nashville, TN; Frances E. Drinkall, Galesburg, IL, and Marion Drinkall, of Danville.

Three brothers also survive: John Drinkall, Central City, NE; Roy Drinkall, Nampa, ID, and Henry Drinkall, Mediapolis. There are eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Three brothers and two sisters died previously.
