Dorothy A. Hagemeier, 89, of Burlington, died at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born July 6, 1910, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Brady and Lottie Mack McDonald. She married Wilbur George Hagemeier on July 18, 1931, in Kahoka, Mo. He died Sept. 4, 1974.
Mrs. Hagemeier was a homemaker.
She was a member of Sts. John and Paul Catholic Church. She loved gardening and her family.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Hagemeier and Larry Hagemeier, both of Burlington; two daughters, Marilyn Vanderfin of Vacaville, Calif., and Sharon Quinn of Sioux City; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Schuff of West Burlington; and two nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. today at the Hass Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. The family will receive friends following a 7 p.m. Christian wake service until 8 p.m.
The funeral for Mrs. Hagemeier will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with the Rev. Patrick L. Lumsden officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
