Ambrose W. Warth, 78, Rt. 3, died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, in Burlington Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 13, 1900, in Des Moines County, the son of Henry and Grace Wykert Warth. He married Esther Timmerman Oct. 12, 1928, in Burlington. He was a retired employee of Barngrover Glass Co.

Surviving: the wife; a son, Emil, rural Danville; a daughter, Mrs. Kyle(Doris) Johnson, Burlington; a sister, Mrs. Laura Holstein, Burlington; four brothers, Ralph and Chester, both of Danville, Milo, Sperry, and Gilbert, Dallas, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday, Lunning Chapel, Rev. Ralph Hunger; Memorial Park Cemetery.
