Louis Arthur Rinker, 92, of Burlington, died at 5:05 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2006, at the Kahl Home in Davenport.

Born August 25, 1913, in Burlington, he was the son of Louis T. and Anna M. Walter Rinker. On May 8, 1941, he married M. Virginia Glantz in Burlington.

He served in the Army in World War II, attaining the rank of corporal. He worked for 35 years at Murray Turbo Co. He was a member of SS John and Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Elks Club. He participated in the Murray Trane 25 year club. He also contributed to YMCA Keenagers.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Carolyn Dahl-Harbeck of Bettendorf and Molly Sharp of Davenport; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters and three infant grandchildren.

A Rosary will be recited in Prugh's Chapel Thursday at 4:00 p.m.

Rev. Fr. Patrick Hilgendorf will officiate, with interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Music will be provided by the Des Moines County Resurrection Choir.

A memorial has been established.
