Bonnie Elizabeth Rinker, 84, of Burlington died at 8 a.m. Thursday, November 24, 2005, at Great River Medical Center, Klein Center in Burlington.

Born March 31, 1921, in Burlington, she was the daughter of George Fredrick and Luella Viola Leicht Stiefel. On June 1, 1952, she married Ralph Rinker in Burlington. He died in 1974.

Mrs. Rinker was a bookkeeper at Fox Appliance and Niehaus Motors for 47 years.

She was a 1939 graduate of Burlington High School. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Bethany Church Women, Eagles Auxiliary, and King's Daughters. She enjoyed cooking , reading and exploring the history of Burlington.

Survivors include two sons, Peter Stiefel and George Rinker both of Burlington; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.

Beside her husband, she was prececed in death by her parents, two brothers, and one grandson.

Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Prugh's Chapel with the family meeting friends during that time.

The memorial service for Mrs. Rinker will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Prugh's Chapel, with Pastor Carl Engstrom officiating. Inurnment will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
