Paul W. Behne, 76, of 700 Barrett St., died at 8:50 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, 1992, at the Klein Unit of Burlington Medical Center.

Born March 23, 1916, in Burlington, he was the son of John and Clara M. Saftig Behne. He married Elvira Wemhoener May 1, 1941, in Burlington.

He worked at B.L. Robinson & Co. for 32 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and attended St. Patrick Catholic School.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, David Behne of Fort Madison; Joel Behne and Mark Behne of Burlington; four daughters, Ann Gerst of Mediapolis, Carole Beck of Danville,and Kathleen Mason and Christina Moore of Burlington; one brother, Theodore J. Behne of Burlington; two sisters, Marie Meyer and Frances Gorman of Burlington; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
