Mrs. Sophia Behne, resident of Burlington 63 years, died at her home, 2002 Vogt street at 10:30 p.m. Saturday after an illness of six months.

She was born in Oldenberg, Germany, June 8, 1861, and was united in marriage at Burlington in 1884 with Henry J. Behne, who died June 10, 1938. The couple had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1934.

Mrs. Behne was a member of First Evangelical church and of the Ladies' Aid of the church.

Surviving are four sons, John of Fairfield; Albert of Fremont, Ohio; George of Clyde, Ohio, and Walter of Burlington; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Two children, six brothers and five sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Burnett-Wallen funeral home. Rev. J.H. Beuscher will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove cemetery.
